In the early days of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I was struggling with what to do given work dried up completely for the first few months. Quickly though, I found myself finding ways to entertain my friends kids and started making bilingual songs (in Spanish) children's songs and making playful videos with a couple stuffed animals I had, encouraging kids to sing, dance, play, create, and try new works in Spanish.
I have no clue what impact I had on any kid other than knowing my parent friends were being supportive while also giving their kids something new to do for 15 minutes about once a week.
All the songs were put on a album that you can stream anywhere online and the videos I made are still online.
Candidly, this was the most enjoyable and fulfilling project I've ever done in my creative life. Getting to interact with a old childhood toy and friend, Teddy, with the help of movie magic that is, was surprisingly joyful. Over all though, I could spend the rest of my life making these songs and videos and never tire.
I've been in the works for some time to revive this project as I do seriously wish to make it a lasting project. Possibly one that can be self sustaining and grow into something more compressive. The name will be changing, Hola Musica! I'll be stepping back to more of a supporting charter as the owner of a music shop. Teddy and Brandi the Dinosaur will however be back and hopefully over time, a few new friends.
